Course description:

The CICE program at Sault College is designed for adults with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries or other significant learning challenges who wish to further their education/vocational training in a community college setting. Students will have the opportunity to complete an individualized CICE program of study including courses from an area of concentration selected from Sault College’s program offerings. Course work will provide the students with opportunities to develop their academic, vocational and social skills. A graduate of Sault College’s CICE program can partner with an employment support specialist to find the career that fits you. Upon successful completion of all courses and the field placement requirements, the student will graduate with an Ontario College Certificate in CICE.
 

✅Course requirements: 

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma OR Certificate of Education, Achievement OR Accomplishment OR Mature Student Status.

  • Have academic needs that require curriculum modification in order to succeed;

  • Have a level of independence which does not require constant supervision;

  • Have the ability to provide his or her own transportation to and from the college and field placement locations

  • Meet the CICE Community Integration through Cooperative Education program admission criteria, which will be mailed out once the application has been received.
